When She Sleeps
is cut from flat three quarter inch steel. Ground smooth, finished in chrome and mounted on a 12" x 6" block of black granite. When She Sleeps depicts my mother as she slept, memories charished from childhood. I sometimes watched her for hours, a beauty to behold. My mother worked very hard when I was young, the only time she seemed at peace was in her sleep. On quite afternoons I would watch her my head turned against the door way.
